Tyson Fury and Robbie Williams team up for Christmas single – and GMB viewers are horrified by cheesy lyrics
TYSON Fury and Robbie Williams gave a sneak peak of their upcoming Christmas single on Good Morning Britain and viewers were horrified by the cheesy lyrics.
The boxing champ, 31, appeared on the morning show to promote his collaboration – called Bad Sharon – with the former Take That singer, 45.
But after Ben Shepherd and Kate Garraway played a snippet of the song, fans immediately picked up on how cheesy the song is.
The lyrics go: “Come on you sad sacks, you’re not going to win the human race / Put on your glad rags / Go get off your face / Grab that Sharon from the office, nick the Champagne let’s get off it.”
Some people were excited, like this person: “Cant wait for Robbie Williams Feat. Tyson Fury christmas number 1.”
Another added: “Tyson fury collab with Robbie Williams on a Christmas tune. Something to live for.”
However, other people weren’t so kind, with one person saying: “Yeah imagine hearing that song in a bar or a club. You’d leave. #gmb”
A second viewer chimed in: “Please not that Williams ffs #GMB.”
Tyson Fury said on the show: “I am doing a little bit of singing, me and Robbie Williams have got a Christmas single coming out and I am told it’s favourite to be the Christmas No1 ahead of Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran.
“Robbie was in Vegas for one of my recent fights and came back stage to see me. He said, ‘I have seen you do a little bit of singing, would you be interested in doing a Christmas song with me?’
“I said ‘definitely’ because I am a big fan of Robbie’s and it has all come together and I am looking forward to it getting released because it is very catchy.
“You can imagine it coming on in a restaurant or bar, while you are out Christmas shopping, and people are going to enjoy it.”
The pair met after one of Tyson Fury’s boxing matches.
Robbie Williams will perform at Radio 2 in Concert 2019 on November 29.
