Strictly’s David James kisses his dance partner Nadiya Bychkova in the street after show exit
DAVID James and his Strictly dance partner Nadiya Bychkova shared a kiss in the street on Monday night a day after they were axed from the show.
The pair had wrapped up filming It Takes Two and headed to their cars holding hands before saying goodbye with a peck.
Ex keeper David, 49, wore a burgundy suit while Nadiya, 30, stunned in a tight-fitting red dress and nude heels.
Their Jive to Such a Night by Michael Bublé and Mike landed them in the dance off at the weekend against Mike Bushell and Katya Jones, who performed a Salsa to Jump On It to The Sugar Hill Gang.
The judges were agreed on saving Mike and Katya, resulting in David being sent home from the competition.
After leaving he said: “Oh I’ve loved it. I feel so bad I’ve let Nadiya down in a sense. I’ve enjoyed it but I’ve put some weight on though.”
Once again fans were left fuming after the result of the show leaked for the fourth week running.
The results show is filmed straight after Saturday’s live show and once again someone has spoiled the enjoyment for viewers by posting the name of the axed celebrity online.
Show bosses do everything they can to keep the result under wraps until Sunday night’s pre-recorded show – but it’s proving more difficult to keep the secret.
Upset Strictly fans have been urging bosses to screen the results show on a Saturday to avoid the same thing happening week after week.
One person tweeted: “Can’t look on Twitter because I don’t want to see the results”.
Another added: “Why doesn’t the BBC show the results live on Saturday night thus ending all the leaks?”
And there was more drama when host Claudia Winkleman was forced to apologise to David after showing his mum on the cameras.
The sportsman looked furious as his publicity-shy mum was shown to the millions of viewers at home.
Speaking after their dance, Claudia told him: “We also have to mention your mum is in the audience.”
Stony-faced David sarcastically thanked Claudia and insisted his mum does not like being in the spotlight.
He said: “Yes, my mum that doesn’t like cameras. And she’s on the camera. Thanks for that. Hi mum.”
Claudia looked mortified and gushed: “Oh sorry, sorry!”
She then swiftly moved onto the scores where David discovered he was at the bottom of the leaderboard which later saw him appear in the bottom two before being eliminated.
While someone else wrote: “Given that the results of Strictly are widely known through social media by bedtime on Saturday thanks to StrictlyLeaks, isn’t it high time the BBC stopped the silly pretence and aired the results show at 10pm on Saturday.”
