Robbie Williams reveals he wants to headline Glastonbury next year
ROBBIE WILLIAMS says he is ready to return to Glastonbury.
He previously said performing at the festival in 1998 was upsetting, adding: “When I was at Glastonbury it felt as if the rest of the festival was like: ‘What the f*** are you doing here, you c**t?’ ”
But in an exclusive interview, the award-winning singer said he’d been inspired to return by good pal Adele, after she smashed her set on the Pyramid Stage in 2016.
Robbie said: “I’d like to headline and that’s what I’d like to do, if I did anything. As far as I know, nothing is in the air for that. But they know where I am if they need me.
“I don’t want to do the legends slot, though.”
Robbie was speaking at the launch of his Christmas album, which features Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, his dad Pete Conway – and heavyweight boxing champ Tyson Fury.
Rob said of Tyson: “I know it’s surreal, but it works. He’s a great singer and he’s a great character.
“He’s got universal amounts of energy and charisma so I’m lucky to have him. I’m lucky he said yes.”
And Robbie also admitted he thought Tyson could release a record. He said: “If Bradley Walsh can do an album, Tyson Fury’s doing one.”
I can’t wait to hear it.
