Bake Off’s Alice insists she’s not dating co-star Henry by putting him firmly in the friend zone
BAKE OFF star Alice Fevronia has insisted she is not dating Henry Bird - by putting him in the friend zone.
Since filming finished the pair have been seen together on a number of occasions and often post pictures with each other.
But last night the geography teacher from Essex shut down any reports of romance as she shared a series of pictures with Henry and told her followers: “Brother from another mother .”
Fans were convinced they were dating after another co-star Michael Chakraverty wrote “Such a beautiful couple”, underneath one of their pictures.
And when Henry, who is a student in Durham, was voted off viewers felt like their hug showed just how close they were.
According to sources, the Geography teacher has already introduced Henry to her friends, giving the impression that things are going well between the two.
One source gushed: “The Bake Off contestants do become very close, and Alice and Henry hit it off from the start as they have a lot in common.
“They confided in each other a lot during the process, which can be quite intense at times.
“And since filming finished they have been spending more time together — including a few dates.”
Earlier this week fans were left fuming when Henry was axed from the show after Paul was disgusted with his towering pie.
Paul tore Henry's vertical pie to shreds, complaining: "It's bone dry. All the moisture's come out the hole in the top."
He added: "It's a shame. Do you know what it tastes like? Mince pie."
Henry took his dumping in his stride and replied to Paul: "It has been a pleasure, darling."
Fans were less measured, with one wailing: "Absolutely gutted Henry has gone. He was my absolute favourite and it won't be the same without him ."
Another said: "Henry!!!! No. No please god reverse time!! "
A third threatened to fight tough-talking Paul in the street after his stinging verdict on the lad's showstopper.
