Game of Thrones prequel Bloodmoon welcomes four new cast members – including a Hollyoaks star and Fern Britton’s brother

GAME of Thrones already has a vast roster of characters, but prequel series Bloodmoon is about to swell the ranks even more.

So far Naomi Watts has been the main star attributed to the show, so fans will be thrilled to hear that four new cast members have joined the Westeros franchise.

According to Winter is Coming, the likes of Jacqueline Boatswain, Jasper Britton, Leah Gayer and Georgina Beedle are all set to join the hotly-anticipated spin-off.

Jasper – the half brother of TV presenter Fern Britton, will play House Master Cole, according to his agency profile.

Meanwhile recent RADA graduate Leah will play a young woman named Caera.

Jacqueline, best known for playing Simone on Hollyoaks, is yet to confirm the role she will play, as is Catherine The Great star Georgina.

Naomi Watts sent fans wild at this year’s Emmy Awards as she posed alongside Game of Thrones legends Lena Headey, who played Cersei Lannister, and Gwendoline Christie, who played Brienne of Tarth.

“This was a bit exciting!” Watts wrote to her 1.2m Instagram followers.

“Loved bumping into these seriously talented ladies. Game of Thrones, congratulations!”

Suffice to say her fan base were thrilled to see her officially welcomed into the fold at the event.

“They’ve passed the torch, couldn’t be more excited for Bloodmoon,” one user wrote.

“Three absolute queens! Naomi you are so gonna smash it,” another added.

“You’re an absolute class act and so worthy of a spot on a GOT show, shame you won’t be able to work with these two directly,” a third chimed in.

Some eagle-eyed readers of George RR Martin’s books think Watts will play the wife of Azor Ahai, Nissa Nissa.

Though unnamed, Watts’ character was previously described as “a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret,” in keeping with the lore around Nissa Nissa.

What’s more, pictures leaked online purporting to be of Naomi on set in costume befitting a Westerosi noble of some magnitude.

Alas, as those who know their Game of Thrones history will be aware Nissa Nissa was famously stabbed through the heart by her husband in a sacrifice to defeat the White Walkers and bring back light to the world.
