Tom Cruise and rarely-seen son Connor, 24, spotted together as they catch a helicopter out of London
TOM Cruise enjoyed some bonding time with son Connor as the pair boarded a helicopter in London.
The Top Gun actor, 57, looked doubly delighted both to be getting back into an aircraft and to hang out with his DJ son, 24, who lives in Florida.
He has followed his adoptive father into the Scientology faith and lives in a luxury compound owned by the religion leaders at the Sandcastle Resort, in Clearwater.
Images showed the pair dressed in relaxed sweaters for their aviation day, with Connor in black trousers and a large pair of sunglasses.
Tom, who was joined by an entourage, flashed a beaming smile as they headed over to the chopper together.
He was then seen pulling on a pair of earphones as he sat in the cockpit.
Connor, who was adopted by Tom and ex wife Nicole Kidman alongside his sister Isabella, followed closely behind.
He hauled a large black bag into the helicopter and was seen carrying a camera bag in his other hand - suggesting he was keen to capture special moments in the air.
He later joined the Hollywood legend at the front of the plane, where he showed him all the gears and controls.
Tom will no doubt have relished the chance to get an adrenaline fix after having become familiar with the aircraft in movie Top Gun.
He also played the role of pilot for his own stunts in the Mission: Impossible movie.
Connor is rarely seen out in public with his father, so the images revealed a special day for them both.
His sister, Isabella, also now lives in the capital with her husband.
Nicole, also a Hollywood star and the pair's adoptive mum, was married to Tom for 11 years, from 1990 to 2001.
She recently spoke out about building bridges with her first children, after they chose Scientology over her.

Nicole exclusively told The Sun: “Motherhood is about the journey. There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love.
“They have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love.”
After the showbiz couple's split in 2001, Nicole moved back to her native Australia and the children chose to stay with Dad and have been immersed in the cult-like Scientology movement ever since.
