STRICTLY'S Alex Scott bashed partner Neil Jones in the face as they rehearsed their "spicy" Tango.

The pro dancer, 37, was left stunned as footy star Alex, 34, accidentally hit him as they pushed themselves to the limit in training.

Neil had demanded Alex be more fierce this week and she certainly brought the heat.

There was no damage done though, and they recovered to perform a solid routine tonight.

Their Tango to Fleetwood Mac's Go Your Own Way earned them 23 points from the judges.

On Thursday Neil and Alex were pictured arriving back at her London home after a busy day rehearsing followed by a glamorous night out in the city.

They spent the day fine-tuning their routine for the show, finishing in the training room around 5pm before heading to Alex's to change for their night out.

Neil ditched his tracksuit bottoms and T-shirt in favour of a suave suit and patterned tie, while Alex swapped leggings and trainers for a dazzling dress and heels.

They headed to the Royal Albert Hall for the International Ballroom Dancing Championships as Neil stepped up the sportswoman's dance education.

After a fun night admiring the moves from the best in the business, the duo got a ride back to Alex's around 11pm and were pictured entering the house together.

They appeared on It Takes Two on Wednesday and smiled as they left in a taxi together.

The pair have proved a real hit with viewers on the show and have continued to improve week after week.

Their romantic performance to David Guetta's What I Did For Love sent temperatures soaring, with Shirley Ballas telling them: “What I did like about the dance was the chemistry.”

Neil is currently single following his split from fellow pro Katya Jones after 11 years together.

Last weekend there were fireworks backstage after Katya appeared to make a dig at Neil by saying she had “never been better”.

A source told The Sun Online: "Just after filming finished, Katya and Neil had words backstage.

"He thought what she said was a dig, and didn't appreciate it.

"He was annoyed and told her so - but she denied it was anything to do with him."

Neil and Katya announced plans to divorce last month after Katya's drunken kiss with her dance partner comedian Seann Walsh last year.

They had been married for six years, but danced professionally together since they started dating in 2008.

Alex, who now works as a pundit, is believed to be single.
