DOUBLE BYE

Kym Marsh’s army boyfriend Scott supports her to film emotional final scenes on Coronation Street before leaving for duty

KYM Marsh was supported by her boyfriend Scott Ratcliffe as she films her final scenes on Coronation Street – and before he leaves for a tour of duty.

The mum-of-four, 43, has a double heartbreak coming up as she leaves both the ITV soap and her boyfriend, 32, goes to serve in the army.

The actress was spotted in a long green coat and black top as she walked while hugging Scott.

Meanwhile, Scott wore a blue hiking jacket as they held hands and smiled.

The pair met early last year when her co-star Antony Cotton set them up.

Kym recently opened up to The Sun about her anxiety when Scott – who is a Major in the Paras – goes on tour.

She told us: “There is always anxiety, it is always stressful when he goes away. There may not be an actual war threat currently but there’s always a risk when you’re in these dangerous places.

“And it can be extra worrying when you aren’t able to communicate for periods of time.

“If he’s on base he can get in touch, but there are times when he is out on exercises and I don’t hear from him for three weeks because there is just no signal.

“In some areas there is just nothing, he went to Kenya and for two months we barely spoke a word.

“He always says that it’s the families at home who are the brave ones – they just don’t see themselves as brave at all.

“But it won’t be easy watching him go away, and I will worry until I see him again.”

The former Hear’Say singer revealed she is leaving Coronation Street after 13 years on the soap.

She plays Michelle Connor, who will soon discover that Robert Preston is leading a double life – and has a pregnant fiancee Vicky Jeffries (Kerri Quinn).

The exit storyline will air in the winter.
