EASTENDERS fan are delighted to see Martin Fowler back in the Square — but when will Stacey and their daughters, Lily and Hope, be able to join him?
In last night’s episode of the BBC One soap, Martin pleaded with nemesis Ben Mitchell to let Stacey and the kids come home.
And Ben – who’s actually mellowed since patching things up with his old man and finding love with Callum Highway – did consider the prospect for a while.
But as he did so, he received a call from a threatening Jags Panesar who told him that he’s kidnapped Lola Pearce, mum of Ben’s daughter, Lexi.
A panicked Ben then insisted that Martin helped him get her back - promising to wipe the slate clean if he managed to.
Later though, Martin was left livid when Ben went back on his word.
Instead he insisted that Martin found Kheerat’s car, threatening to hand in the wrench that Stacey used to attack Phil Mitchell to the police if he didn't.
Of course, us soap fans know that Stacey won’t be making a return to the Square any time soon however, as actress Lacey Turner is enjoying maternity leave after giving birth to her first daughter, Dusty.
Lacey has posted lots of pictures of her daughter on social media, including adorable shots of Dusty meeting co-star James Bye’s baby son.
The soap actress shared adorable snaps on Instagram of their babies laughing as they met for the first time last month.
James and his wife Victoria welcomed their third child, Hugo, back in February 2019.
And the little chap looked adorable with a huge grin on his face, wearing dungarees with pictures of ducks and a yellow top.
Meanwhile, Lacey dressed Dusty in a yellow headband and pink baby suit.
LATEST IN EASTENDERS
She gave birth to Dusty on July 12, 2019, and was still on maternity leave from work as she met on-screen husband James for a catch-up.
The pair have been absent from the soap - going on the run after Stacey bashed Phil Mitchell over the head and left him for dead.
Martin made his return last week - and it wasn't long before he was confronted by ex-wife Sonia who railed at him for not being there while their daughter Bex attempted suicide last week.
Sonia begged Martin to stick around in Walford to help with Bex and he reluctantly agreed, despite knowing it would be a dangerous move if Ben caught him.
- EastEnders returns to BBC One on Thursday at 7.30pm
