AFTER six years of belting out Let It Go at parties Frozen fans are about to sing a different tune - Into The Unknown.
The Sun were invited to a special screening of footage from the sequel to the 2013 animated hit, where we got to hear her Elsa’s powerful new number.
Idina Menzel’s voice will leave the hairs standing on the back of your neck and the lyrics have instant kids karaoke appeal.
The queen with icy powers sings: “I’ve had my adventure. I don’t need something new. I’m afraid of what I’m risking if I follow you... into the unknown.”
Frozen II, which opens in cinemas on November 22, includes seven new tracks from Kristen Anderson- Lopez and Robert Lopez.
The husband and wife duo, who wrote Oscar winning Let It Go, were inspired by their own daughters becoming more independent like sister Anna and Elsa.
Kristen said: “Anna and Elsa are growing up. And our own girls are growing up, too.
“As the girls get more independent and have to walk their own paths and face their own moments of crisis without us there to protect them, it’s ushered in a new era of parenting for us, which also made its way into the film.”
We got to hear other fresh tunes from the soundtrack, including the soothing lullaby All Is Found which promises that memories can be discovered in a “river.”
Certain to melt hearts it is sung to the two young princesses by Queen Iduna, voiced by Evan Rachel Wood, in a flashback at the start of the film.
There is also a classic comic Disney number from snowman Olaf called When I Am Older, where he sings that all the strange things happening to him will “make sense” when he’s grown up.
Since the two trailers for the Disney film dropped social media has been buzzing with theories about the mysterious imagery which flashed briefly on screen.
Now we can reveal the secrets behind this family epic.
Fate of the family
When Anna and Elsa were teenagers their parents King Agnarr and Queen Iduna died during a storm at sea.
Frozen II will reveal more about the former rulers of Arendelle and how their deaths might not have been an accident.
Through a flashback at the beginning we learn that the spirits of the four elements - fire, earth, air and water - can be dangerous.
The King and Queen told a then little Anna and Elsa the story of how they barely survived after angering the spirits.
To calm the girls, Iduna sang a lullaby saying “there is a river full of memory”.
Songwriter Kristen says: “The epic tone of the new movie was something we wanted to hit right from the beginning.
“So, the lullaby, All Is Found, that sings to her young daughters is meant to be a road map to the mythology of the story.”
The diamonds in the sky
In the trailer beguiling diamonds materialised in the night sky - sparking hundreds of rumours about what their patterns could mean.
They represent the four elements, fire, earth, air and water, but are more petrifying than pretty.
The diamonds appear after Elsa, who is now the Queen, is drawn by a voice tempting her on an “adventure” and she sings Into the Unknown.
Somehow Elsa’s powers then conjure up these strange symbols and the spirits take revenge on the people of her town with a terrible storm.
Elsa realises she must go into the unknown to unravel its cause and to save Arendelle.
Anna, her boyfriend Kristoff, his reindeer Sven and Olaf the snowman, join her on this perilous trip.
Before leaving the kingdom they meet the trolls, whose leader Grand Pabbie warns “Elsa has awoken the spirits”.
Romance
The appearance of handsome young lieutenant Destin Mattias and a young girl in the trailer led to rumours of romance for Elsa.
But hopes of finding either a boyfriend or a girlfriend for the single Queen have, we’re sorry to report, been dashed.
Producer Peter Del Vecho told The Sun: “Elsa has awoken spirits that have put her in danger. We are not developing a romantic story for Elsa.”
It’s not going so well for the loved-up iceman Kristoff either.
His attempts at a proposal of marriage to Anna are ruined because the woman of his dreams is distracted by Elsa’s problems.
But Peter added: “In Frozen 2, we get to see how Anna and Kristoff’s relationship evolves.”
Where are they going?
The plot of the movie centres on answering one important question - how did Elsa acquire the ability to manipulate ice and snow?
That was what young fans always wanted to know when they met the script writers, director and producer.
Director Jennifer Lee says the voice “promises answers about why she is the way she is, so she’s compelled to find that voice.”
In order to get there they need to battle past the spirits which are blocking Elsa’s path.
First, they must get through a previously impenetrable mist wall, which we see in the trailer.
It leads to the Enchanted Forest where they find both invisible forces putting them in “mortal danger” and the lieutenant with his brave troops.
Then Elsa has to find a way to cross a sea where the water spirit, called the Nokk, fights her every icy step of the way in the form of a stallion.
This is classic Disney, heroes in an epic struggle surrounded by spectacular light shows and ominous shadows.
How is Olaf able to survive in the warm?
Loveable snowman Olaf should melt in the autumnal landscapes we see in the second Frozen movie.
The shortage of snow is not a problem anymore for the character voiced by Josh Gad because Elsa has magically given him a permafrost.
He is now able to snuggle up by the fire with a good book and has huge amounts of useless facts that he likes to tell everyone else.
The director says: “He’s full of questions. He’s contemplating life and death and existence - much like any kid would, but he’s doing it the Olaf way.”
