DWAYNE The Rock Johnson has patched up his bitter feud with Vin Diesel and hinted he will return to the Fast And Furious movies alongside the star.

The world's highest paid actor, 47, thanked fans for making his Fast And Furious spin-off Hobbs And Shaw a global box office success after it passed $750million in takings.

In a sweat-soaked Instagram video filmed inside a gym, Johnson said: "You have officially made Hobbs and Shaw not only a massive global success as we just crossed $750 million at the global box office, but also you helped build up an expansion of the Fast and Furious franchise."

He went on to directly thank "brother" Vin, 52, and referenced a congratulatory comment from the star after he married his wife Lauren Hashian earlier this year.

Johnson said: "I appreciate it. Lauren and I appreciate the wedding congratulations, and we send love right back to you and Paloma [Jimenez]. I appreciate it, brother.

"You know what a wild ride this is and what a wild ride this has been. Ten years ago, when you and I spoke, and you invited me into the Fast And Furious family.

"I'm grateful for that invite and, as you know, my goal was always all these years to come into the Fast & Furious world and help elevate the franchise in any way I possibly could. If I could do that, then I've done my job.

"And of course, all roads lead to one thing. I'll be seeing you soon, Toretto."

The beefcake signed off with a smile and knowing wink.

Diesel plays street racer and criminal Dom Toretto in the F&F franchise, who Johnson's FBI agent character Luke Hobbs at first hunted and then teamed up with.

The actors became embroiled in a bitter stand off while filming The Fate Of The Furious in 2017.

Despite it being their fourth time working together on the franchise, they didn't actually film a single scene in the flick together.

Wrestler-turned-actor Johnson later explained what caused the feud in an interview with Rolling Stone.

He explained: "Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer.

"And what I came to realise is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach movie making and collaborating.

"It took me some time, but I'm grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not."

And with Fast 9 slated for a release next year, it could be happening sooner than we thought.
