ITV risks viewers’ fury as This Morning and Loose Women are cancelled again for the Rugby World Cup
FANS of ITV's daytime TV shows This Morning and Loose Women are set to be frustrated today as they have been cancelled in order to show a game from the Rugby World Cup.
Replacing the Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield fronted show at 10.25am is coverage of Scotland taking on Samoa in the tournament's group stage.
The game and analysis will take ITV viewers through until the lunchtime news at 1.30pm, running through Loose Women's usual 12.30pm broadcast time.
The sporting showpiece is being held in Japan for the first time and has caused major disruption to the channel's daytime TV schedule so far this month, with plenty more action still to come.
Last week, daytime telly viewers were outraged when they tuned in to find sport in place of their favourite shows.
They took to Twitter to vent after Wales’s first game was screened instead of This Morning, saying: "Sorry but who cares about the Rugby? It’s 10:30am I need my Holly and Phil fix."

Another moaned: "You could’ve put Rugby on another channel nobody watches. 6 weeks of Rugby interrupting the schedule is not acceptable."
Another questioned: "Why? We don't want to see this nonsense."
For rugby fans, however, the World Cup has already thrown up some classic results.
Uruguay battled to a close win over Fiji, while the hosts Japan shocked Ireland with a 19-12 victory.
Six Nations winners Wales held on to beat Australia 29-25, with the Wallabies putting on a thrilling comeback in the second half.
