EastEnders fans rejoice as Ben Mitchell returns to his dancing roots in sweet autumn storyline teaser

EASTENDERS fans are rejoicing after seeing Ben Mitchell return to his dancing roots in the new autumn promo for the BBC soap.

In a mash up of clips, it shows Ben (Max Bowden) dancing with his daughter Lexi (Isabella Brown) in a call back to a storyline from when the character was a child.

Ben took an interest in dancing and secretly took lessons behind his hard-man dad's, Phil Mitchell's, back.

After passing an exam, he eventually gains his father's approval.

Fans were excited about the promo video released on the EastEnders twitter account - but particularly the part where Ben is dancing and wearing his glasses again.

One fan wrote: "OMG BEN DANCING WITH LEXI, CALLUM SHOUTING AT STUART, BEN AND CALLUM IN THE PUB AND WHITNEY HAVING A GO AT JONNO AND BEN JUST BEING BEN I CANT WAIT".

Another said: "OMFG Daddy Ben dancing with his daughter Lexi showing her his hip action is the cutest thing ever love their relationship!"

A third added: "Love the Ben and Lexi dance thing so adorable."

However, the trailer isn't all good news for Phil Mitchell's (Steve McFadden) son.

The introduction of the Panesar brothers is set to shake up the square - and they are after Ben.

Ben has gone back to his villainous ways and stole eldest brother Kheerat's (Jaz Deol) car, leading to him and brothers Jags (Amar Adatia) and Vinny (Shiv Jalota) to give him a warning.

The brothers' arrival was announced last month, with Executive Producer Jon Sen saying: "The Panesar family are set to arrive this autumn and will bring their own unqiue blend of charm and chaos onto the square.

"A British Asian family of Punjabi Sikh heritage, Kheerat, Jags and Vinny are three very different brothers who turn up in Walford looking to settle a score.

"However, fate quickly takes a hand and they find themselves staying for good."

Ben returned to the square this year, with Max Bowden being the sixth actor to portray the role.

Joshua Pascoe portrayed him from 2010 - 2012, whereas Harry Reid took the reigns from 2014 to 2018.
