Gogglebox legends reveal when hit show will return as another series ends – leaving fans gutted

GOGGLEBOX fan favorites Jenny and Lee have paid an emotional goodbye to their fans, as this series comes to an end, but they promise to be back for more laughs in September.

The hilarious double act who share an Instagram page, posted a message for their fans ahead of tonight's final episode.

Talking to their 800k plus followers, Lee said: “Just a little message to say thank you for your support over series 24, hope you’ve enjoyed all fifteen episodes and it’s the last one tonight. Until September though mind and don’t forget the celebrity one is on as well.”

And Jenny added, “We’ll be back, like Arnold Schwarzenegger said.” To which Lee replied: “She didn’t even know who he was until I mentioned it to her.”

A slew of fans expressed their sadness to see them go.

One said: “Aww roll on September. So love you two, so bloody funny.”

Another young lad wrote: “Going to miss you both you’re getting me through my GCSES, love my Friday nights. Thanks for brightening up the evening.”

Meanwhile another suggested that they should have their own act. “You both are brilliant, hope you have a great summer. You should have your own show.

And another said: “ You both are my favourite.”

The much loved pair have starred on the Channel 4 show since 2014, after Jenny a pub landlady, persuaded, Lee, one of her regular customers to appear with her on the sofa.

Initially Jenny was signed up after a trip to Beverley Racecourse in Yorkshire, where she was approached by TV researchers who pitched her the brand new TV concept.

Meanwhile fans of the show's format can now look forward to Celebrity Gogglebox, which stars Spice Girl Mel B and her daughter Phoenix as part of the line up.

The duo join fellow TV stars Fearne Cotton, Gok Wan, Rylan Clark, Clare Balding and Gyles Brandreth in the sixth series of the show when it returns on June 7.

A TV insider told : "It’s so exciting to have Scary Spice and Phoenix on the sofa together, they’re going to be fantastic."
