Love Island fans fume as 2021 final is plagued by ad breaks

LOVE Island fans were left raging just minutes into the final as they complained of 'too many' adverts.

The final show which will air for more than an hour and a half kicked off at 9pm and will be one of the closest races in years.

One of the Islanders will pick up £50,000 - and then have to decide whether to share it between them.

Four couples are competing to take home the cash prize - Millie Court and Liam Reardon, Teddy Soares and Faye Winter, Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank and Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran.

The final opened with a slow motion montage of the glammed up couples smooching before host Laura Whitmore walked into the villa.

appeared live in the Majorca villa in a stunning white blazer as she introduced the couples.

As fans buckled in for the final episode, they were hit with an ad break just minutes into it.

They complained it was far too many interruptions in one of the most hotly anticipated episodes of telly this year.

Some joked that ITV 'must be going into administration' and that's why it had to run so many adverts.

"Itv are really trying to shove every advert in this 1 hour and a half," wrote one fan on Twitter.

Another added: ";20 minutes in and we’re on our second advert break. Are we for real."

And a third wrote: "So we're gonna keep seeing 2 minute clips and then an advert or am I bugging?"

With just hours left inside the villa it's Liam and Millie who are the odds-favourites to win at just 8/13, leaving Toby and Chloe in second spot at 7/4.

Teddy and Faye sit third in the betting at 8/1 with Tyler and Kaz the 11/1 rank outsiders for glory.
