Love Island stars will have to take STD test before they’re allowed into the villa to have sex

LOVE Island stars won't just be taking a Covid test before allowed into the villa later this month - they'll have to do an STD one too.

While the amount of bed-hopping and between-the-sheets action has dropped dramatically in recent series, bosses aren't taking any chances.

Former Love Island star Marcel Somerville explained that the stars were screens for sexually transmitted disases.

Speaking about having sex in the villa, he told the : "It's definitely down to the cast members.

"If you do want to do it then by all means do it. The show provides the necessary protection, so just be safe.

"The show does do strict testing beforehand just to make sure that everyone going on there is clean. They do quite a few tests to make sure you're clean and safe."

Marcel - coupled up with Gabby Allen in 2017 - was among the stars who resisted having sex on camera, but others haven't been so reticent.

In recent years Love Island raunchy sex scenes have become few and fae between after bosses started censoring them off the show.

They even cracked down on booze to stop drunken sex sessions in a bid to make the show less tacky.

However, it has been the scene of many shocking romps including Terry Walsh and Emma having sex on top of the covers.

Zara got down and dirty with the fellow Islander in 2016 after a string of rejections in the villa.

And even Molly-Mae Hague remarked: "It's f***ing huge" after appearing to fumble under the duvet with Tommy Fury.
