Is The Conjuring a true story?
Fans new and old will be shocked to find out the answer is yes - this spooky screening is in fact based on the story of Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Ed Warren was a World War II veteran and a former police officer who later became a self-professed demonologist.
His wife Lorraine, claimed to be a clairvoyant and medium who had the ability to communicate with the demons that her husband discovered.
In 1952, the couple founded the New England Society - the oldest ghost hunting group in New England and quickly gained notoriety as respected paranormal investigators.
However, their two most famous experiences are the inspiration of the Conjuring franchise - in which the husband and wife duo exercise demons from two possessed families.
Ed and Lorraine maintain that all events portrayed in the films are depicted correctly and exactly as they transpired - with no more dramatic license than was necessary.
