How does Celebrity Catchpoint work?

The game show requires brains and agility with one simple rule - don't drop the ball!

The Catch Zone consists of ten columns, all displaying a possible answer to the question.

A pair of contestants are tasked with answering a question, with one standing under what they believe to be the correct answer.

A ball is then dropped from the trap door above the correct answer - with the contestant underneath tasked with catching it.

This makes things easy if they’ve got it right, but tricky if standing under the wrong door.

Contestants will have to act quickly to stay in the game and win.

Who is appearing on Celebrity Catchpoint?

The show's host Paddy McGuinness is best known for hosting the hugely popular dating show Take Me Out.

Paddy made his TV debut in 1995 as a contestant on a series of dating shows, including Davina McCall fronted God's Gift.

The new series will be filmed at BBC Pacific Quay in Glasgow with a celebrity line up of contestants.

Tia Kofi and The Vivienne from Ru Paul's Drag Race UK and Radio 1 DJs Scott Mills and Chris Stark have all been confirmed as contestants on the first episode.

Steps stars Faye Tozer and H will appear alongside Love Island's Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran for episode two.

When is Celebrity Catchpoint on BBC?

Celebrity Catchpoint will premiere at 6.45pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022, on BBC One.

Paddy said: "I'm thrilled that Catchpoint is back bigger and better than ever!

"With a load of celebrities trying to catch our big and small balls it's bound to be packed with lots of laughs and some sensational diving."
