Where is ITV drama Innocent filmed?
THREE YEARS after its shocking conclusion, psychological drama Innocent has returned to our screens.
Viewers have been enjoying seeing shots of luxurious coastline and rich greenery again, but where is the hit show filmed?
Where is Innocent season 2 filmed?
Lake District
The second series - featuring ex-Corrie star Katherine Kelly - was filmed mainly in the Lake District.
The crew based themselves in Keswick, at the rugby club.
Executive producer Jeremy Gwilt said: “This time we have the Lake District, which is a great place to set a story like this. It’s achingly beautiful and yet it’s a wild and unpredictable landscape.”
Some scenes were also filmed at Crummock Water, between Buttermere and Loweswater, and Derwent Water.
Lead actress Kelly said: "With it being set in the Lake District it was really helpful visually, because she's outside a lot. We have her sat by windows, because it's not your choice when you can go outside when you're in prison.
"In one of the documentaries I watched, one of the women said she couldn't wait to be able to just walk in a straight line. You just walk in circles in the yard in prison when it's exercise time.
"We really tried to get that across. The windows are down in the car and she gets out a lot, just that thing of the senses being ignited again. With that prehistoric landscape of the Lake District it's such an easy way to plug back into the earth when you're out in that kind of terrain."
Ireland
The police station and interrogation scenes were filmed in an school just outside of Dublin.
On filming in Ireland, Jamie Bamber, who plays Sally's husband Sam, said he "quite enjoyed being in beautiful Dublin pretending rather well to be the Lake District".
He said: "I shot in a very comfortable would-be Keswick in a suburban Dublin family home and a nice stately home/hotel. So nice locations.
"Lovely Georgian architecture and rolling countryside to look at not far from the coast."
Filming began in September 2020.

Where was Innocent season 1 filmed?
The first series of Innocent was filmed in two locations: Malahide in Ireland and the South Downs in England.
Phil's house and the dramatic aerial shots were mostly filmed in the South Downs, while Malahide was used to create the rest of the small town where they all live.
"We wanted to create that small place where everybody knows everybody, people know people’s business. You can live relatively anonymously, but still everybody knows who you are and what you do and what you’ve done."
