Endeavour cast: Who stars in the ITV drama?

ENDEAVOUR fans will see Shaun Evans reprise the title role of DS Endeavour Morse for one last time.

Here we take a look at who you can expect to see on your screens for the final season.

Who is in the cast of Endeavour?

Shaun Evans

Shaun Evans, 42, is known for his roles in Being Julia, Ashes to Ashes, Whitechapel and The Scandalous Lady W.

His big break came in the form of Channel 4 comedy Teachers where he played the gay French teacher John Paul Keating.

Although he is best known for his TV roles, he has starred in a number of movies including Cashback, Gone and the horror film Dread.

Roger Allam

Roger is best known for his roles as Illyrio Mopatis in the HBO series Game of Thrones, Royalton in Speed Racer, Lewis Prothero and as Peter Mannion MP in The Thick Of It.

He is 69 and has two sons - actor William and Thomas - with wife Rebecca Saire (who even appeared in the Endeavour's seventh series along with William as a mother and son duo).

In March 2022, Allam debuted in the lead role of Antoine Verlaque in Murder in Provence.

Anton Lesser

Anton Lesser is best known for his roles as Qyburn in the HBO series Game of Thrones, as Thomas More in Wolf Hall and as Harold MacMillan in The Crown.

In Endeavour, Anton takes on the role of Chief Superintendent Reginald Bright since the show's beginning.

He received a nomination for the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Thomas More in the BBC mini-series Wolf Hall.

James Bradshaw

 James Bradshaw is back

From November 2014, James Bradshaw played the role of DS Geoff Thorpe in Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, until his character was killed off in March 2018.

Aside from Hollyoaks, he is best known for playing Gordon Grimley in The Grimleys and Matthew Grindlay in EastEnders.

In Endeavour, James plays Home Office pathologist Dr Max DeBryn.

Sean Rigby

Sean is known for his roles in the films Gunpowder (2017) and Isabella (2015).

In 2017, he starred as the only character in the four-minute short film, Crossing Seas.

In Endeavour, Rigby plays the role of Jim Strange, who appears as a Police Constable and Detective Sergeant.

Abigail Thaw

London-born Abigail is a well-known face on the box as her TV career kicked off in 1990.

Her credits include The Bill, Casualty, Pie in the Sky, Peak Practice, Spywatch, Big Bad World, Vanity Fair, Love Soup and Trust.

She has also appeared in Midsomer Murders episode Small Mercies as Annabel Johnson in 2009, and in Agatha Christie’s Poirot The Clocks, in the same year.

In Endeavour, she has taken the role of Dorothea Frazil.

Caroline O’Neill

Caroline O'Neill is best known for her role as Andrea Clayton in Coronation Street.

On stage, she has appeared in The Crucible and The York Realist.

She plays Win Thursday in the ITV drama Endeavour.

Sara Vickers

Sara Louise Vickers is a Scottish theatre, television and film actress.

She appeared in four episodes of the 2021 second series of the Scottish crime drama, Guilt on BBC Two.

Vickers plays Joan Thursday in the drama series.

When is Endeavour on ITV?

Endeavour starts on Sunday, February 26 on ITV1.

The ninth series will kick off with a two-hour-long episode at 8 pm.
