PEAKY Blinders fans will be astonished to learn that two of its lead characters are played by real-life brothers.
In the hit BBC period drama, the ruthless gangsters Michael Gray and John Shelby - though only cousins in the story - are portrayed by actor brothers Finn and Joe Cole.
Joe, who plays John, joined the 1920s-set show in 2013 while Finn came on to the cast as former prisoner Michael one year later.
The cast is led by Irish actor Cillian Murphy and the title of the show is also the name of the real-life gangster clan on which the story focuses.
Sadly for fans of Joe, his character's story came to an end in the opening episode of series four.
In the final moments of the first episode, John died in a hail of bullets, fired by the Italian mafia.
However, Finn continues to appear in the show, which returned for its final series on Sunday night, and Joe revealed his sibling still gives him tidbits of what is happening.
Joe told in 2020: "It's funny. We chat. I mean, not so much now, but I actually really enjoy watching that show as a spectator, more than when I was in it.

"When I was in it, I found it... obviously, it's more difficult to watch yourself. You've seen everything. You've been on set.
"So it's fun to watch that as an audience member now. And yeah, Finn does give me little tidbits. But I prefer just to watch it as a spectator now."
It is rare for brothers to take roles in the same TV drama, though there are some famous actor brothers breaking into Hollywood now, like Harry and Luke Treadaway, and Domhnall and Brian Gleeson.
