Who is Alex Murphy and why did she leave Dancing On Ice?

Who is Alex Murphy?
Alex is an American professional skater who replaced Alex Schauman and skating with Joe Swash in Dancing on Ice 2020.
The pair swept to victory and won the 2020 series.
She was originally planned to partner for this series but in December 2019, the former TV presenter had to pull out of the show after breaking his hand in training.
Aged 29, she grew up near Boston in the city of North-Woburn.
She has previously appeared in the Dutch version of DOI, and appeared in Disney on Ice productions and travelled the world as a cruise ship performer.
It was during a 2012 cruise that Alex suffered a stroke as the ship sailed near the Canary Islands.
She spent a week in a hospital in Tenerife, and then a week in a hospital in Miami.
Alex later said of the terrifying ordeal: "They couldn’t find out just what it was in the Canary Islands after a week.
“I had a headache for a few days but figured it would go away. It didn’t. Then I collapsed on the ship.
“It was a long one for me. It all lasted about 15 minutes but it seemed a lot longer.”
It turned out that she had a hole in her heart, which was repaired with keyhole surgery.
Why did she leave Dancing On Ice?
Alex was axed from the show in June 2020 - just months after she won the competition.
It is not clear why Alex was axed - and she seems to feel the same way, saying the news was a "huge shock".
Writing on Instagram, she said: "It is with a heavy heart that I release the following statement:
"For the last three years, Dancing On Ice has not only been my job, but also what I considered to be my family.
"I am broken hearted to announced that I have recently been informed that I will not be re-contracted for Dancing On Ice 2021 series.
"This decision has come as a huge shock to me. I absolutely love the show and had hoped to go back for 2021. I have been left feeling bewildered, lost, and devastated."

Is Alex Murphy dating YouTuber Kleiny?
Dancing On Ice’s Alex Murphy is dating YouTube millionaire Paul Klein – one half of the duo Woody and Kleiny.
The pair met while taking part in Celebrity Coach Trip in 2019 and have been dating ever since.
Alex, 29, said: "Yes, Kleiny and I have had a few dates on land and off the bus. Who knows what will happen now we're not on wheels!"
A insider commented on Alex and Paul's relationship, saying: “It was obvious the moment that Kleiny and Alex met that they were perfect for each other.
“Everyone was joking about them getting together so it’s no surprise they have started dating."
