Remember the little girl from Madeline? Here’s what she looks like now

It's been 19 years since the popular family film first hit cinema screens

HATTY Jones is known for playing a mischievous orphan in family blockbuster Madeline.

Almost two decades after the film was released, the child star is completely unrecognisable.

At just ten-years-old, Hatty landed the role of the plucky boarding school girl and soon stole everyone's hearts.

After appearing in the live action adaptation of Ludwig Bemelmans' much-loved book series in 1998, the young talent continued to chase her acting dreams.

Playing the leading role stood her in good stead for the Harry Potter auditions, where she narrowly missed out on the chance to play Emma Watson's character Hermione.

As Hatty was so young when Madeline hit the big screen, she returned to her studies after the film was released.

After graduating from Mountview drama school, Hatty took up further acting jobs.

She has since made brief appearances in popular soaps Doctors and Holby City.

Hatty, now 34, also played the role of Suzie in comedy movie Wannabes in 2014.

Hatty's experience in the world of showbusiness has stood her in good stead for her latest project.

She is the co-founder of Heavy Wait, a creative platform that releases female-driven and topical stories.

The Madeline actress is one of the brains behind award-winning TV short The Silent Gangsters.

In 2015, the film scooped Best Score in a Short at the Southampton International Film Festival 2015 and was Officially Selected for the London Short Film Festival 2016.

She also worked on a 12-part web series offstage, a series that follows two best friends stumbling through their twenties trying to break into the highly-competitive acting industry.
