Robert De Niro sparks concerns on The One Show as fans brand him ‘disinterested’ during ‘awkward’ interview

FANS OF The One Show were left utterly gobsmacked as Hollywood legend Robert De Niro graced the sofa.
Clara Amfo and Alex Jones welcomed the A-list actor into the BBC studio alongside his co-star Debra Messing, 56.
Robert, 81, appeared to promote his new gangster crime thriller movie, The Alto Knights.
He also stars in a new Netflix series, Zero Day, which focuses on a former fictitious US president as he investigates a zero-day cyber attack.
Viewers of the long-running magazine show took to social media in disbelief as he sat on the iconic green couch on The One Show.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan stated: "Robert de Niro is looking good on 81."

Another exclaimed: "What the hell, Robert De Niro on The One Show. What is happening!!"
"What a geezer one of the greatest WOW!!", wrote a third user.
As a fourth added: "Up their game tonight with Robert DeNiro & Debra Messing."
The pair appeared on the long-running magazine show alongside Stephen Graham, 51, and Owen Cooper, 15, who star in the new Netflix mini-series, Adolescence.

When asked, the Goodfellas legend gave the teen actor some career advice going into the future after his huge breakthrough role.
"Well, I think he's off to a good start, that's the main thing," he remarked.
"And just to keep at it. Keep at it! Do...I mean he's there. Now it's common sense, what to do, what not to do. Try to stay out of trouble and all that stuff and you'll do well. You'll do well!"
However, some viewers couldn't help but think that Robert De Niro wanted to leave as they claimed he looked somewhat disinterested.
One fan commented: "Robert De Niro's waiting Waiting to go home...."
A second posted the words: "Before the titles have even finished.. Robert De Niro," alongside a GIF of an emoji of someone running away.

He walked the red carpet at the star-studded gala at the Curzon in London's Mayfair.

The A-list star appeared alongside his Hollywood co-star at the special screening of The Alto Knights.
In the movie, the actor plays not one but two different characters who were childhood friends, but become rivals.

"The idea of playing the two different characters was intriguing to me. They’re like two different sides of the same coin," he told the presenters.
Robert added: "One is more rational, more diplomatic. That’s the [Frank] Costello character. The [Vito] Genovese character is more erratic, more impulsive."
