Crufts 2025’s Best in Show winner backlash as favourite is ‘robbed’, claim fans

THE winner of Crufts 2025's Best in Show has been revealed.
A Whippet called Miuccia was given the prestigious prize at the show's thrilling climax.
Taking place at the NEC in Birmingham, more than 18,000 dogs from across the world came to compete during the four-day event.
Four-year-old Miuccia, from Venice in Italy, came out on top at this year's Crufts, with a Tibetan Mastiff called Viking being named runner-up.
The winning dog Miuccia is the fourth time a Whippet has won Best in Show at Crufts - but her owner is the first Italian to do so.
She was praised for her "beautiful elegance".
Her trainer Giovanni Liguori, from Italy, said: "It is really a dream come true. I am really overwhelmed.
"I am super super happy."
Judge Patsy Hollings made the final decision of Best in Show, with a Jack Russell Terrier, Miniature Schnauzer, Gundog, Spaniel (Cocker) and Australian Shepherd missing out on the top prize.
However, it was Jack Russell Ana who stole the hearts of viewers when she made her appearance on screen.
Even the Crufts narrator said after the result was announced: "The Jack Russell was the public winner, but didn't make the podium this time."
Fans were in agreement, with one writing: "Jack Russell dogs always get robbed in Crufts. Last year or this year should have been Best in Show for them."
Someone else said: "A Jack Russell ROBBED for the second year in a row."
One added: "I'm sorry, but I think that the Jack Russell was robbed!"
A fan wrote: "The Jack Russell was robbed but glad to see the Tibetan on reserve!!!"
Another cried: "Noooo! Ana the cutest Jack Russell got robbed! But I knew the whippet would win."
Someone else said: "How Ana the Jack Russell hasn’t won is day light robbery."
Another added: "Beautiful dogs but we wanted Anna the Jack Russell to win."
