‘Shame on you’ fume UKTV fans as they SLAM channel for airing Gino D’Acampo repeats after disgraced star sacked by ITV

It comes after ITV shelved plans to air a new series of Family Fortunes amid the allegations

FANS of UKTV have slammed the broadcaster as they continue to air repeats of Gino D'Acampo's shows.

Gino has been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women who last week came forward to ITV News.

Their investigation found there were multiple claims of "unacceptable," "distressing" and "horrendous" treatment while working with the TV star over more than 12 years.

48-year-old Gino said he "firmly denied" all the allegations, which he called "deeply upsetting".

ITV have cut ties with the star and have dropped planned repeats of his shows - as well as a new Family Fortunes series - from the schedule.

However, UKTV - which owns channels such as U&Dave, U&W and U&Gold has been airing episodes of the under-fire chef's Italian Coastal Escape series.

Despite the controversy, they've confirmed they've no plans to pull schedule reruns of Gino's series from U&Dave - though did say it will be kept "under review".

In a statement to The Sun, a spokesperson said: "We have no current plans to remove scheduled archive content featuring Gino D’Acampo, but we will keep this under review.”

Fans have been left fuming by the move, with one blasting: "Shame on @UKTV. Should be put on hold until investigation complete."

A second wrote: "Shut it down!"

Following the allegations, Gino released a statement, which read: "I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago.

"I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone.

"This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.

"Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately.

"I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of.

"I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting."
