Graham said: “Like everyone, I’m always intrigued by what goes on behind closed doors.

“Add to that some dastardly challenges and a life-changing prize and I’m hooked.

“I feel confident that The Neighbourhood will be the nation’s favourite destination.”

Although Graham is now best known for his chat show and hosting the Eurovision Song Contest, both on the BBC, The Neighbourhood will be the latest of several shows he has worked on for ITV.

His darkly comic debut novel Holding, which chronicles the secrets and resentments in a remote Irish village, was adapted into a 2022 drama of the same name, and last year he presented the revival of gameshow favourite Wheel Of Fortune.

At the age of 61, it seems Graham is as busy as ever and not about to slow down any time soon.

HERE WIG GO AGAIN, PEGGY

PUTTING on a wig to transform herself into EastEnders legend Peggy Mitchell was a special moment for Jaime Winstone – who will return to the soap this month as a young version of the late Queen Vic landlady.

Reprising the part she played in 2022, Jaime features in a mental health storyline for Steve McFadden’s Phil Mitchell that includes flashbacks.

Daniel Delaney plays a younger Phil.

To prepare, Jaime studied Peggy’s most memorable scenes, as played by the late Dame Barbara Windsor.

She said: “It really hits home when it’s time for the wig – as soon as I put that on, I feel a warmth, like Barbara’s giving me the go-ahead.

“I look in the mirror, the giggle comes out and she’s there.”

JUDI: I’D LOVE TO MARRY

SHE may still be looking for her Mr Right, but that hasn’t stopped Judi Love spending hours and hours planning her wedding.

The Loose Women host will be left red-faced on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show on BBC One on Saturday when the comedian discovers her secret digital mood board after taking over her phone for the Send To All segment.

Judi admits she has saved hundreds of photos of other people’s weddings over the years so she can plan her own dream day, whenever that might be.

Quizzed about her elaborate plotting and planning, Judi says: “I’m just speaking it out into the universe that I hope to get married one day.

“I’ve got my dress, my ring.

“I’m looking for ideas and my husband – if he’s out there, I’m right here waiting.”

Michael then quips back at her: “Yes, I think that’s clear, Judi.”

A SWEDE SIGHT FOR DAV FANS

FORMER EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami has opened up about that 2014 scene where he walked through Albert Square naked – with just a pumpkin for cover.

Davood, who played Kush Kazemi in the BBC soap, told former co-star Lacey Turner’s We Started Here podcast: “The scene was about us creating this calendar around Halloween time, and how we could make money for the community.

“They really threw me in the deep end . . . naked.

“I was talking to the costume department, like, ‘Can I choose the pumpkin?’.”

Lacey also recalled: “It was cold that day, wasn’t it?

“I’ll never forget that.”
