Dancing On Ice’s Chris Taylor suffers another huge blow after Vanessa Bauer is forced to quit show

Chris admitted he is spending just as much time in physio as he is on the ice

CHRIS Taylor could be the next star to quit Dancing on Ice as yet another disaster rocks the show.

The former Love Island hunk has been battling a string of painful injuries and his original pro skating partner Vanessa Bauer was forced to pull out.

According to bookies, Chris, 34, is into Evens favourite to be the next star to quit the show early.

"Following Chris' injury report, he is into Evens favourite to be the next star to quit the show early," said James Leyfield, Gambling.com's Entertainment expert.

"What's more, it remains 1/2 for Dancing on Ice to end after the current series, and judges and ice skating icons Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are 8/15 to quit the show after season 17."

So far, Sir Steve Redgrave, Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road actress Chelsee Healey and reality TV star Ferne McCann have been eliminated on Dancing On Ice.

In a damning interview with Joe Baggs on his YouTube podcast Not My Baggs, he said that he is spending as much time in physio as he is on the ice.

Chris also admitted he is barely holding on, saying: “It’s an absolute pogo stick of emotions. It’s wild.

He added: "Ice is my life at the moment until I finish the show."

He said: “There’s a lot of minor injuries cropping up.

“I have to go to the physio every week, which is kind of nice – I get a bit of a massage.

“Sometimes I’m making it up and I’m not in pain. Sometimes I just want a bit of a break.”

But his problems are far from minor, with Chris admitting: “My arm goes dead – not in a fun way or a good way, it just goes dead.

“During training, I can’t lift anymore, so they have to fix that, yeah. I’m holding it together – I’m basically held together by sellotape at the minute.”

Chris’s injury woes come after he was involved in a car pile up after his very first live show.

The former Love Island star shared details of the hairy accident, explaining how it happened when he was trying to avoid a pile up on the road.

The Dancing On Ice star told the : “The day after the first Dancing On Ice show, I had a car accident.

“There were already a few cars on the side of the road who had pranged each other and they were in a bit of a kerfuffle, and I thought, I’m just gonna get out of your way.

"But I forgot to look, and a guy came in on the right-hand side.”

Chris then had another set back when his Dancing On Ice partner Vanessa Bauer was forced to pull out of the competition and thankfully, Robin Johnstone stepped in.

Vanessa revealed in a video message that she went for an MRI and learned earned she had "a completely torn ligament, grade three sprain injury and a major grade two sprain injury."

She explained: "My pain threshold, I don't trust it, I have been skating this whole week with a lot of pain but I just didn't realise that it was such a significant injury so I didn't voice my pain.

"I don't want this injury that is already bad to get even worse and so the one sensible decision is to step away, do rehab, focus on my health - I guess mental health as well - because it's really bad that I have to leave."
