TELLY fans have shared their fury ahead of a major show being pulled off air this weekend.
Due to a big schedule shake up, Gladiators will not be on this Saturday night.
The second series of the popular challenge show is already underway but it will be forced to take a break due to the FA Cup.
Match Of The Day will be replacing Gladiators so footie fans can tune in to watch Birmingham City take on Newcastle United instead.
Gary Lineker will present the coverage of the fourth-round tie live from St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park.
But Gladiators fans are not impressed with the change to the telly schedule.
Sharing their frustration on X, formerly known as Twitter, one complained: "No Gladiators on BBC One this Saturday? Instead it is pointless FA Cup. Not impressed, not everyone wants to watch football on a Saturday night."
Another added: "No #Gladiators next week for football, f***ing rugby on itv as well. Saturdays best night for tv and you’ve got sport ruining it."
And a third said: "Oh goodie. No #Gladiators next week cos of f***ing football."
Gladiators originally aired on ITV during the 90s with and at helm.
Much to fans' delight, the show was given a reboot and returned to the small screen on BBC One in January 2024.
These days, Bradley Walsh and his son Barney host the family-friendly programme.
Gladiators has proved to be as popular as it was back in the day and was given a Celebrity special this Christmas.
Earlier this month, it returned to the Beeb for a second civilian series and a third series has already been commissioned.
The show had only been back on for two weeks but was already smashing the ratings.
A TV insider told The Sun: "Channel chiefs invariably wait to see how one series does before they order another one - but usually they wait more than fortnight before they make a decision.
"But season two of Gladiators has just been so well received it was a no brainer to commission a third outing as soon as possible.
"It will be a huge thrill to the ever-growing army of fans of the family-friendly show."
The rebooted version of Gladiators follows the same premise as the 90s series.
Each week, members of the public take on various super-fit Gladiators in a series of gruelling physical challenges.
The end of the episode sees the contenders go head to head on an assault course that spans the entire arena floor called the Eliminator.
But it doesn't come without risk.
Safety measures have been ramped up for this series after a number of painful injures among both the contenders and the Gladiators.
Last year, wedding celebrant Nikki Billingham ended up in a neck brace after colliding with her opponent as she fell off The Edge.
Eagle-eyed viewers have noticed extra procedures have been put in place to ensure a similar accident doesn't happen again.
