Watch the moment Bear Hunt star Shirley Ballas clashes with Mel B in heated row, fuming ‘What’s the matter with you?’
Shirley previously told The Sun the REAL reason she signed up to the show
CELEBRITY Bear Hunt viewers were left shocked when Shirley Ballas was seen clashing with Mel B in a heated row.
The Strictly Come Dancing judge, 64, and the Spice Girl, 49, got into an argument as they took part in the gruelling show.
Bear Grylls‘ latest show, Celebrity Bear Hunt – which is hosted by Holly Willoughby – dropped on Netflix this week.
The eight-part competitive reality series sees 12 celebrities – including Shirley and Mel B – dropped into the Costa Rican jungle, where they’re subjected to tough physical challenges.
In each episode, the stars who perform the worst must face the Bear Pit, in which survival expert Bear attempts to track them down.
Much like I’m A Celebrity, the celebrities must all live together while they take part in the show.
In one scene from the series, Shirley can be seen clashing with Mel in their living quarters, in a row about who should go in the Bear Pit next.
Getting close to Shirley’s face, Mel said: “You’re gonna have to go into the Bear Pit at some point Shirley.
To which Sjirley retorted: “What is the matter with you?”
They then proceeded to talk over each other as Shirley explained she “wasn’t afraid” to go into the Bear Pit, as Mel B repeatedly said she “has to go in soon!”.
Shirley then said to Mel, “I don’t really know what you’re trying to say?”
To which Mel replied: “I’m just talking to ya'”
Shirley calmly replied: “Well you don’t really talk to you? You direct… you’re in somebody’s face.”
Mel then retorted: “I’m not! I’m just who I am.”
It then cut to Shirley in her confessional, and she said: “You can tell the temperature is rising, and somehow the challenge always gets the blame and it’s somebody else’s fault!
“Instead of taking it with grace and reflection, off goes those mouths!”
SHIRLEY REVEALS ALL
Meanwhile, Shirley recently revealed why she wanted to sign up to Celebrity Bear Hunt.
“I’ll be 65 this year and in these however many years I have left, I wanted to put myself outside the box and do things that perhaps I never would in ordinary life,” she told The Sun.
“I don’t like jungles. I don’t like snakes, I don’t like spiders and I certainly don’t like those ants that when they fall on you they bite you half to death.
“But the day I stop challenging myself will be the day they put me in the wooden box.
“We have such a short space of time to be here, life is but a fleeting glance. I want to take advantage of every possible thing that I can.
“The Masked Singer, for example, which I did last year, was way out of my comfort zone – but no more so than Strictly is for the people who go on that.
“They’re drowning in their own fear, some of them, and that’s a little bit how I was when I did this.”
Taking about cohabitating with the other celebrities, Shirley told us: “Living with 11 other celebrities in the same room, that was a challenge because I’m a neat freak,” she says.
“My kitchen has to be tidy. I took on the mother role a little bit, I was smartening up people’s beds – not because I had to but because I like everything orderly.
“I’m not a diva. I’m working-class, I come from a housing estate. I’ve done well for myself, but I don’t need people carrying my bags.
“I don’t need people making my tea. When someone tells me I should be there at nine o’clock, I’m there at quarter to nine. I don’t require anybody to take care of me. I can take care of myself.”
