Coronation Street favourite’s life hangs in the balance in hospital after being pulled from huge Platt family house fire
A CORONATION Street fan-favourite's life hangs in the balance after a major inferno at the Platt house.
Soap fans have been left fearing for the iconic family as the Weatherfield property went ablaze on Monday night.
The inferno came after David Platt stole money from the notorious gangster Harvey Gaskell.
Harvey's thugs were out for David after taking money which belonged to him - putting his whole family in danger.
After Max and Shona entered the burning building to save Lily, Max was left trapped inside.
During Tuesday's visit to the cobbles David watched on in horror as a fireman entered the house to search for the teenager.

He was later pulled out but rushed to hospital in a critical condition and unconscious.
David was later told by a doctor that Max was placed in an induced coma before relaying the news onto Shona.
He told her: "He's in a coma. His lungs were damaged and he couldn't get any oxygen.
"So they've had to put him in a coma."
David added: "He couldn't breathe in there."
The entire Platt family were left worried for Max's life, including Lauren Bolton who was in tears watching him.
The episode also saw David confront Mason's brother Logan and blamed him for setting fire to the house.
After Logan realised David was secretly recording him for a confession the pair fought before David was wounded.
The emotional Coronation Street episode ended with David in tears at Max's beside as he pleaded for him to wake up.
He said: "I'm sorry. I've just been so stupid. I wasn't thinking.
Please just wake up and just... I don't know, give me a bit of grief
"I just need you to wake up now. You'll be alright.
"Please just wake up and just... I don't know, give me a bit of grief, just tell me how uncool I am and I don't know anything."
