AS awkward Love Island recouplings go, there have been a fair few on the show over the years.
But nothing beats one of the most painstakingly awkward ones from one of the first ever seasons of the show.
Back when we had Celebrity Love Island on a remote nature retreat in Fiji rather than a neon-filled villa in South Africa, 12 celebrity contestants braved it all to find love with their fellow Islanders.
Season 2 of the show featured a host of celebrities, some of who have gone on to big things.
But the most memorable moment of the whole series is the recoupling at the start of the show - and it’s since been going viral on TikTok.
Colleen Shannon, Victoria Hervey, Alicia Douvall, Kelle Bryan, Sophie Anderton and Bianca Gascoigne all featured on the show, and can be seen lined up in front of the male contestants in the clip.
Christopher Brosnan, Brendan Cole, Leo Ihenacho, Lee Otway and Shane Lynch are then asked to pick the woman they want to couple up with.
But before any decisions are made, the islanders quickly realise that there are six women and only five men, meaning one woman would be left standing alone at the end of the recoupling.
Bianca, Kelle, Alicia and Colleen are all picked to be in a couple but Victoria and Sophie are awkwardly left standing, with the decision left in Leo Ihenacho’s hands.
To make it worse, he dramatically circles around the two women and then exclaims ‘why!’.
In the end, Sophie is picked and Victoria is left very sheepishly standing alone.
Love Island as we know it made its debut in 2015 but the franchise actually started in 2005.
It ran for two series in the summers of 2005 and 2006 and was filmed on Armstrong Island and Nadi Island.
Patrick Kielty originally hosted the first show with Kelly Brook, and then presented with Fearne Cotton on the second series.
Calum Best won series 2 with Bianca and the pair went on to have a short-lived relationship in the outside world.
The second series of Love Island was won by Calum Best, George Best's son and model Bianca Gascoigne.
Calum went on to star in several other reality shows including coming third in Celebrity Big Brother in 2015.
He's also been on Come Dine With Me and Celebs Go Dating.
Bianca also took part in other reality shows including Coach Trip and Celebrity Big Brother.
In 2012 she auditioned for The X factor but failed to make it to bootcamp.
