Welsh locals left gobsmacked as huge A-lister pops in for fish and chips after losing home
LOCALS in a Welsh town were left in shock as an A-list star popped in for fish and chips - after losing his home.
Oscar winner Sir Anthony Hopkins, 87, returned to his birthplace Port Talbot - about eight miles from Swansea.
Sharing snaps of the star online, the chippy's owner wrote: "He’s back again for his fish and chips, can’t ask for a better advertisement."
Another added: "In his hometown of Port Talbot, this week for his fish & chip supper at Steve’s chippy, the street I was born in.
"He is never bothered when he visits home, we love him & he loves us!"
It comes after the devastated star lost his home in the recent Los Angeles wildfires.

His Pacific Palisades property was destroyed by the widespread blazes.
Sir Anthony took to Instagram to post a message, written in white text, to his grid.
He wrote: "As we all struggle to heal from the devastation of these fires, it's important we remember that the only thing we take with us is the love we give."
The legendary actor - well-known for his performance as Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs - purchased his stunning, white-fronted property back in 2021 for $6million.

His four-bed, five-bath pad was nestled in the heart of the Palisades area yet tragically decimated in the blaze.
Other Hollywood A-listers affected include Oscar winner Mel Gibson, supermodel Bella Hadid, Spencer Pratt.
Elsewhere, celebrities such as Tom Hanks, 68, and Steven Spielberg, 78, had their homes narrowly spared in the fires.
At least 28 people have been , with thousands of properties destroyed.
Actress Jennifer Gardner fought back tears as she told how her pal had tragically died in the blaze.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance in Los Angeles to meet the victims of the blaze first-hand.
