Bosses are understood to be aiming sky-high to secure A-list names after past contestants included Karren herself as well as Piers Morgan and Cheryl, in her only ever reality TV appearance as a contestant since finding fame.

But there is one name - bigger than the rest - that both Karren and Tim would love to sign up to the BBC programme.

In a surprise admission, the pair confessed it is President Donald Trump then want to see in the boardroom but as a contestant.

Trump famously hosted the US version of the programme and walked in Lord Alan Sugar's shoes for the show before taking up office in the White House.

But could the Beeb manage to tempt Trump to the other side of the boardroom table?

Speaking to The Sun, when asked who she would want on the cast, without hesitation, Karren said: "Donald Trump! Donald Trump!"

Her admission prompted an outburst of laughter from Tim as he said: "That would be hilarious!"

Karren then revealed she would love to see Sugar get the chance to fire Trump on the programme.

The business mogul said: "It would just be to give Lord Sugar the chance to fire him.

Tim then quipped: "Talk about a viral moment, that would be it, that would be it."

It is understood, that the celeb version is likely to go out towards the end of 2025

The celeb spin offs first began in 2007, at first for Comic Relief, featuring Piers, Cheryl and Corrie star Maureen Lipman.

The second was in 2008 for Sport Relief with a line up that included Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, Michelle Mone and Patsy Palmer.

A third celebrity Apprentice was staged in 2019 with the likes of Amanda Holden, Alan Carr and Rylan Clark signing up.

The Apprentice biggest moments

THE Apprentice has been a fan favourite ever since it burst onto the box in 2005.

Here we take a look at five of the biggest moments over the years on the hit BBC One show.

Tim Campbell - Former London Underground transport manager Tim Campbell won the first series of the reality show in 2005. He is now one of Lord Sugar's aides on the show.

Sarah Lynn and James White - For the first and only time in the show's history, both finalists were crowned winners in 2017.

Amy Anzel - Season 16's fired candidate Amy Anzel was BANNED from the final celebration show, after a tit-for-tat exchange over Lord Sugar’s mocking tweets.

Michelle Dewberry - Telecoms consultant Michelle Dewberry won the second series of the show in 2006. However, after winning a six-figure job with Lord Sugar she lasted just four months before she sensationally quit.

Selena Waterman-Smith - We’re used to tensions running high in the boardroom, but in 2015 a disagreement between two candidates spilled over – for the first time - into a physical bust-up. Events manager Selina Waterman-Smith was given a verbal warning by show bosses for her role in an off-camera scrap with Charleine Wain.
