Glamorous Oscar-nominated actress joins Dexter spin-off series in show’s biggest ever signing
AN Oscar-nominated actress has signed up for a role in the Dexter spin-off series - marking the show's biggest ever signing.
The glamourous star will take on a series regular role opposite lead actor Michael C. Hall.
Uma Thurman, 54, is well-known for her film role in Quentin Tarantino's classic Pulp Fiction.
She has joined Dexter: Resurrection, a present day continuation to the hit crime drama.
Uma will portray "Charley", a former Special Ops officer, who works as Head of Security for mysterious billionaire Leon Prater.
Before becoming Prater's "resourceful and meticulous right-hand woman", Charley worked in high-level private security.

In the original show, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) led a double life as forensic technician for the fictional Miami Metro Police Department - and a vigilante serial killer.
Uma joins returning Dexter stars Hall, David Zayas (Detective Angel Batista), James Remar (Harry Morgan) and Jack Alcott (Harrison Morgan).
According to , Paramount has confirmed it intends to launch the show in summer 2025.
The story picks up after the events of miniseries New Blood, which aired from late 2021 to early 2022.
Despite Dexter's apparent death previously, this is being retconned for Resurrection.
She was nominated for the Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA and Screen Actors Guild Award.
Reuniting with Tarantino, she received further Golden Globe nominations for her work in Kill Bill.
Uma later won a Golden Globe for playing the lead role in 2002 television film Hysterical Blindness.
