Richard and Judy plan surprise new project inspired by shock TV moment 15 years after they last worked together

The couple's new project follows one of their most famous career moments in the year 2000

MARRIED telly favourites Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan could be about to launch a range of undies.

The couple have trademarked their name to flog goods also including smellies, cosmetics and other merchandise.

Their application was published by the Intellectual Property Office on Thursday — possibly in time to cash in ahead of Valentine’s Day.

The pair first trademarked “Richard and Judy” in 2000 — the year Judy accidentally exposed her bra at the National Television Awards.

It appears to have expired in 2020 but they applied again in December.

A TV insider said: “Judy’s bra flash was perhaps one of the outstanding moments of their career and may have inspired the couple to consider underwear as an option — and clearly they still think so.

“But it’s not the only product they’ll be able to put their name on and they could make a mint.”

They couple married in 1986 and co-hosted This Morning and Richard & Judy for decades.

And their influential book club is in its 21st year.

Richard, 68, is now a presenter on ITV’s Good Morning Britain but Judy, 76, is rarely seen on TV.
