FORMER EastEnders star Cliff Parisi has sparked excitement among fans by hinting at a possible return to the soap after nearly 15 years away.
The actor, known for his portrayal of the lovable Minty Peterson, suggested that a comeback could be in the works during an appearance on The One Show.
Cliff was all smiles as he chatted with hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp.
When the conversation shifted to the possibility of revisiting his role in Albert Square, Cliff didn’t shy away from addressing the question.
Alex asked: "We have to ask because we said we would, Cliff, would you ever return to EastEnders to play Minty?"
Cliff responded enthusiastically: "You know what, I loved playing Minty, I had such a ball and you know I've been watching the repeats, and I remember how much fun it was and what a laugh we had!

"So never say never, that's all I'd say. I really had fun doing it and I loved the show and I'm really grateful for everything it's done for me."
However, he then added: "Never say never, but I don't like going backwards, I like to keep my eyes on the forward."
Cliff first stepped into the role of Minty the mechanic in 2002, and quickly became a fan favourite for his sense of humour.
In 2010 the character decided to leave life in Walford behind him after a string of personal setbacks, including failed relationships.
