A NINETIES kids' TV icon has revealed their brand new BBC job - 33 years after their on-screen debut.

The presenter shot to fame when he joined CBeebies and hosted some of the channel's most iconic shows.

Chris Jarvis landed his first hosting gig on The Broom Cupboard alongside Zoe Ball and Josie d'Arby.

He was also part of The Friday Zone, which was a late afternoon show on BBC One in the late 90s.

Chris remained with CBeebies until 2009, but the presenter is now back on the airwaves.

The 55-year-old has joined BBC Radio Solent in a temporary hosting shakeup.

He's covering for Lou Hannan, who has stepped away from her 10am until 2pm slot for the week.

In the last decade Chris has been involved in a number of pantomine shows across the country.

He starred in Cinderella in 2024 and also played Dame Nutkins in Sleeping Beauty at The Lighthouse in Poole.

Meanwhile, another noughties kids' TV star has joined the radio airwaves in the last week.

Angellica Bell has been announced as the temporary host of BBC Radio 2's late night show.

The 48-year-old is covering the slot until DJ Spoony's newly relaunched Radio 2 show starts.
