Maya Jama breaks silence on Ruben Dias relationship as she responds to fan reaction to romance

MAYA Jama has broken her silence for the first time on her romance with footballer Ruben Dias.

The Sun revealed how the pair had secretly been dating for months after meeting at the MTV EMAs but so far the Love Island host has kept quiet on the romance.

Now, she has broken her silence by acknowledging the relationship for the very first time.

Maya reposted comments from fans discussing the exciting new romance on X - formerly Twitter - and even shared a cryptic reply in which she did not deny the romance.

The star wrote online: "Oh.. [laughing face emoji] but .. [shrugged shoulders emoji]."

It marked the first time that Maya had directly acknowledged the romance - just days before the return of Love Island All Stars.

Maya and Ruben, 27, were spotted for the first time together in public on New Year’s Eve, when they shared a romantic dinner.

Footie ace Ruben appeared to confirm their romance after posting a photo of them together from behind while on a recent holiday.

Watching the sunset, Ruben can be seen in a hoody and trousers while wrapping his arm around a female wearing a camouflaged skirt and trainers.

The pair cosy up to one another as they look out to sea, with pals in front of them.

After rumours swirled about their romance, a source said: “Maya and Ruben swapped details at the EMAs and have chatted since, but things went up a gear in early December.

“When Ruben got injured and had to miss the congested new year fixtures, he jumped at the chance to see in 2025 with Maya in Spain. 

"Spending New Year’s Eve together was a real step forward in their relationship.

“They get on really well and obviously make a gorgeous couple, but it’s early days.”

Maya will be Ruben’s second Love Island-linked beau, after a three-month fling with Arabella Chi, 33, last year.

It comes after Maya split from Stormzy, 31, last July.
