The Masked Singer fans furious as show pulls out huge twist ahead of Spag Bol reveal
THE Masked Singer almost aired its first celebrity unmasking as the new series kicked off tonight.
Host Joel Dommett returned to the studio alongside panellists Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and Maya Jama.
Disguises this series will include Dressed Crab, Kingfisher and Bush — plus a hilarious new addition modelled on the host himself, Giant Joel.
He was revealed as Olympic legend Mo Farah - while Maya, 30, had previously let slip the secret according to fans.
Viewers played a guessing game on social media as the first batch of celebs performed on stage.
After the panel attempted to guess the identities of Dressed Crab, Spag Bol, Snail, Tattoo, Teeth and King Fisher, the studio audience voted.

Spag Bol and Teeth found themselves in the bottom two, but the judges chose to save Teeth, sending home Spag Bol.
The star behind the mask was then almost revealed before Joel announced fans would have to wait until Sunday night to find out.
Fans have been left furious by the cliffhanger and took to social media to slam the host and ITV.
One Masked Singer viewer said: "Nope. Not having that. What's the point of making us wait? Kinda kills the whole point of the show. If they do that every episode I tech just need to watch the first few mins of each and not the rest. Suppose it saves time."
A second wrote: "I’m not happy! #MaskedSingerUK you knew we were going to watch tomorrow anyway. You already drag it out enough ffs even the panel look like they’ve lost the will to live by the end of the show."
"After a Christmas special that was 40 minutes of adverts to a first episode of a new season with no celeb reveal… complete waste of time - not gonna bother watching the rest of the season," said a third.
