BBC to air controversial episode of Through The Keyhole this month for first time in 25 YEARS

The episode re-airing comes ahead of a major event for its celebrity guest homeowner

THE BBC are to air a controversial episode of Through The Keyhole this month - for the first time in 25 YEARS.

Through The Keyhole gave viewers a peek inside celebrities' homes while a star-studded panel guessed the owner.

Lloyd Grossman explored Donald Trump's residence in Palm Beach, Florida, in the 1999 instalment.

On January 20, the businessman, 78, is set to be inaugurated as the 47th US President.

He previously served as President from 2017 to 2021 - before being succeeded by Joe Biden.

Through The Keyhole made its debut on screens back in 1987.

It was most famously presented by Sir David Frost and Lloyd Grossman.

Meanwhile, Leigh Francis - known for his popular character Keith Lemon - presented the latest revival.

It aired from 2013 to 2019, on ITV, with the likes of Pamela Anderson and Katie Price featured.

However, the revival's axing was confirmed by February 2020.

A source told the : "Since last year's series, there have been discussions over the future of Through The Keyhole and now it's been decided to ditch it.

"The show lasted for a while - almost seven years.

"But ITV are keen to focus on other ideas.

"The Masked Singer has proved new formats can work."
