The popular duo began hosting the programme after their previous series on the BBC, Something for the Weekend, was axed.

But at the end of their final episode for 2024, the TV stars confirmed that things would be different for Sunday Brunch as it entered 2025.

From January, the programme will find itself in a brand new timeslot.

It will now kick off 30 minutes later and air between 10am and 1pm.

It means that fans will still be able to get their full three-hour fix of the programme as usual.

Simon and Tim confirmed the changes would come into effect from their next programme on January 5.

When Sunday Brunch first launched in 2012, the programme was only two hours and aired between 9:30am and 11:30am.

Bosses soon opted to add an extra hour onto the end just a year later after becoming a steady ratings winner for Channel 4.

A daily spin-off show Daily Brunch also ran alongside the show in 2014 as well as a Saturday edition airing across weekends where major horse racing events were taking place.

When Channel 4 used to broadcast footage of the sporting event, the show was re-tooled as Weekend Brunch and saw Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh step into the hosting duties in the studio alongside Tim, with Simon on-location at the different events, including the Grand National.

Who hosts Sunday Brunch?

The Sunday morning culinary show is a regular fixture on Channel 4. But who are the hosts?

Sunday Brunch is hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer.

  • Tim started his TV career in the 1990s working as a researcher for The Big Breakfast before he started presenting and producing the Saturday morning staple Soccer AM in 1996. Tim hosted the show for 11 years before he started working on Something For the Weekend alongside celebrity chef Simon.
  • This was Simon's first presenting gig, but he has since gone on to host shows like Tricks of the Restaurant Trade and Britain's Favourite Food.
  • After the BBC's Something For the Weekend was cancelled in 2012, the pair moved over to Channel 4 together where they began fronting Sunday Brunch.
  • Johnny Vegas also appears on the show occasionally as a relief presenter.
