A FORMER Love Island star has revealed the extent he is going to prevent further hair loss – and shared the painful-looking procedure with fans.

Ex ITV2 dating contestant Jake Cornish has had more work done on his mane and uploaded an eye-watering video of him mid session.

The former water engineer, 27, previously revealed that he had a hair transplant in April 2022 at the celebrity favourite, KSL Clinics.

The star told fans his plans in the new wincing footage and introduced the specialist performing the treatment.

He wrote alongside it: “PRP for the barnet.”

Lying down on a medical chair, he told followers: “The main man Matty doing my PRP today. Nice and thick.

“This is my first PRP – two or three more. I’ll probably go for four then.”

Asked by the practitioner if it was painful, he replied: “It’s alright. The anaesthetic has worked nice and quick.”

The reality-star-turned-actor quit the All Stars villa after just three days back in January having been reunited with ex-girlfriend Liberty Poole.

The reality star, who appeared on 2021’s series seven, told fans previously: “If you want it, just go and get it done. Who cares what people think. It’s my hair.”

Jake explained: “When I was 19, I just had my hair pulled back, I had a perfect straight line. As I’m getting older it’s slowly receding.

Love Island fans convinced Ciaran set for All Stars as he drops huge clue

“They say never to cheat on your barber. Sorry barber! I always had short back and sides, now I have my hair long and slicked-back. I was never able to do that before!”

The Bristolian has gone on to star in Mr Hyde: The Untold Story, Bermondsey Tales: Fall of the Roman Empire (2024) since his first Love Island stint.

He attended the premiere for Bermondsey Tales: Fall of the Roman Empire, a London gangster flick starring the likes of Maisie Smith, John Hannah and Linda Robson.

Fans can watch him as DI Jacobs in Mr Hyde – an adaptation of the the gothic novel Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde – in which he acts alongside The Bay, The Bill and EastEnders star Adam Astill, who is cast in the lead role.

He told The Sun previously after his career switch: “It’s crazy, to be honest with you. When I got approached for the film, I thought the guy was kind of winding me up, saying, ‘Oh, he’s come off Love Island. Yeah, get him on there’, you know.

“But he’s been serious. The guy I met, he’s never watched Love Island, and he just seen me at a film premiere and said, ‘I like the look of you have you ever done acting and I was like ‘I’ve never done it, but I’d love to’.”

Unlike many of his fellow Love Island co-stars, Jake won’t be found downing shots at glitzy parties in the capital.

In fact, he’s not in contact with any of his All Stars alumni.

Instead, he’s focused on forging a career doing things he’s passionate about rather than chasing the limelight.

He said: “You won’t see me at events in London because it’s not adding value to my life.

“I know that if I’m around good people that will push me, then that makes me become a better person.

“Love Island is obviously short term, because then there’s another Love Island in six months and there’s another one… so
you’ve got a really short space of time to really utilise what you learn.”
