THE PENGUIN boss confirmed show's future has he shared an exciting update with fans.
Executive producer Matt Reeves revealed that the originally billed miniseries, The Penguin, could return with another season to explore even more of Gotham City's dark criminal underworld, potentially diving deeper into Oswald Cobblepot's rise to power.
This next installment could expand on the gritty, complex dynamics of Gotham, while exploring new characters and plots that intertwine with Cobblepot's quest for dominance.
Fans eagerly await an official confirmation to see how far the story of The Penguin will go in shaping Gotham's chaotic future.
Colin Farrell's Oz Cobb made his first appearance on the big screen in Matt Reeves directed 2022's The Batman.
He supervised the writing for the show with creator and showrunner Lauren LeFranc.

Matt told : "Yeah, we're talking to [showrunner] Lauren [LeFranc] about doing another season. That was a special experience. I just feel really fortunate.
"These characters don't belong to me; they belong to the world. It comes down to whether you can approach them in a way that expresses something personal."
Even though there is no official word of The Penguin season two, the series has gained multiple awards nominations, including three Golden Globe nods.
The nominations are for miniseries, actor in a miniseries (Colin Farrel) and actress in a miniseries (Cristin Milioti).

Despite confessing he doesn't like wearing the costume, he said he would be willing to return for another series.
He has also said has said he has no idea what Cobb’s arc in the film is.
He stars alongside How I Met Your Mother actress Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, as well as Rhenzy Feliz, Mark Strong, Michael Kelly, Deirdre O'Connell, Clancy Brown, and Carmen Ejogo.
From a ratings point of view, viewers certainly expressed a desire to get more of the series.
The show did decent numbers for HBO throughout, but also showed consistent growth, with Variety reporting that its series finale, at 2.1 million viewers, was a steady build from its premiere.
If The Penguin returns for a second series, it seems Bruce Wayne's alter ego might finally step into the spotlight.
The first series wrapped up in November with a thrilling nod to Batman lore as the Bat Signal illuminated Gotham's night sky, teasing the Caped Crusader's potential involvement in the gritty tale of Gotham's criminal underworld.
