Hollyoaks fans believe at least one of the soap's stars will appear on the ballroom floor

STRICTLY fans are convinced that a soap star has signed up for the 2025 series and she's got a very famous father.

Fans of the soap were devastated when the star left last year not long after her debut appearance.

Annabelle Davis, who played the character Lacey Lloyd, said goodbye to the soap amid the murder of her best friend Rayne Royce.

She is the daughter of Tenable host Warwick Davis, 53, famous for his roles in Harry Potter, Leprechaun and Narnia.

Annabelle has also appeared in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 as a Naughty Goblin and in the CBBC series The Dumping Ground as Sasha Bellman.

Alongside her father she had roles in two Star Wars films and joined the cast of the Disney+ series Willow, a sequel to the 1988 film of the same name.

Warwick wrote online when she first joined Hollyoaks: "Shout out to my daughter, @AnnabelleLDavis who debuts in the British Soap, @Hollyoaks tonight. Never seen the show but will be watching tonight!"

But Hollyoaks has faced massive budget cuts which has seen a huge cull in the soap's cast and crew.

Weekly episodes have also been slashed to just three 20 minute episodes per week.

Now after apparently 18 months out of work, Strictly fans have become convinced Annabelle has signed up for the new series set to air in 2025.

"With Hollyoaks having mass layoffs and reducing their schedule to their three episodes per week.

"I imagine that at least one recently departed cast member will be a part the next season after nearly 18 months without work." posted one fan.

Other suggestions put forward as contestants include David Ames who played the headmaster of Hollyoaks High who is best known for his role in Holby City as Dominic Copeland.

Glynis Barber who played gangster Norma Crow who was murdered as part of a revenge attack in shock scenes.

And Rita Simmons who played Marie Fielding and is well known for her other soap role as Roxie Mitchell.

"At least three of them have been mentioned as possible contestants fairly often in the past: David Ames from when he was on Holby and Glynis Barber (a long and varied career) and Rita Simmons (EastEnders)" states a fan.

However, one actor who made a massive comeback after leaving Hollyoaks is Adam Woodward who played the character of Brody for more than 4 years.

He quit the soap in 2021 when his character was tragically killed off by Warren Fox (played by Jamie Lomas) in a targeted hit-and-run.

Recently he revealed the news that he has landed a huge new movie role alongside Damian Lewis and Tom Felton.

According to the description of the movie, Fackham Hall is an upcoming British period comedy film directed by Jim O'Hanlon.

The premise states: "A lovable pick-pocket Eric Noone (Radcliffe) who moves into the English manor house of Fackham Hall.

"He has a forbidden romance with Rose Davenport (McKenzie) and is framed for a murder, while Archibald (Felton) becomes Eric's rival and vies for Rose's hand in marriage.

"At the same time, rivalries are spilling over in the Davenport family, led by Lord and Lady Davenport (Waterston) as they also weather the epic failure of the wedding of their eldest daughter (Laird) to her caddish cousin."
