The Flintstones celebrated Christmas thousands of years before the birth of Christ

Whilst The Flintstones aimed to portray as accurately as possible for an animated sitcom about how life in the Stone Ages was, there was a crucial mix-up when it came to their timeline.

The title family of cave men had many wild antics in the prehistoric days but it seems that one of the show's writers may have forgotten just exactly how many years ago the Stone Age was in one certain episode.

In one of the episodes, the family celebrated Christmas and even managed to deck the cave out with a Christmas tree and decorations.

However, as the Stone Age was actually 2,000 to 4,000 years before the birth of Jesus and even more before the commercialisation of the holidays, it remains to be seen just how the Flintstones managed to celebrate such a huge occasion before it even took place.

When Bruce Willis made a cameo in Friends, many fans would have expected Joey and Chandler to go stir crazy at being in the presence of one of their idols.

Throughout the run, the pair constantly talked about their love and adoration for the iconic Die Hard movies starring Bruce.

However, when he was selected to play Rachel's new love interest Paul Stevens, they failed to even recognise him at all.

It left fans scratching their heads as they attempted to work out how there could be a chance that the pair would not know Bruce.

Writing online, one fan said that the correct answer to the biggest TV plot holes was this moment, declaring: "The amount of times Chandler and Joey discuss Die Hard and never once blink when Rachel dates Bruce Willis."

Fans of M*A*S*H were left scratching their heads when the show seemed to celebrate an unprecedented amount of Christmases despite it being set over just a three-year period.

The war comedy ran for 11 years and was based during the Korean War of 1950-1953.

Yet they marked more than their far share of Christmas celebrations which prompted confusion as to how long the war actually took place for.

One fan asked: "How was Christmas celebrated what, 10-12 times in MASH over a 3 year war."

Throughout the run of Lost, fans were consistently left wondering just exactly who or what the Smoke Monster was.

Having made its first appearance at the beginning of the show, the plume of smoke and its identity was teased for six years before eventually being somewhat revealed.

It turned out that the Smoke Monster was actually a man who was out for revenge and wanted to kill his brother.

However, given it was only disclosed in the show's sixth season despite first being referenced at the start of the show, many viewers felt it was too little too late and that the story may have only been decided on last minute.
