C0RONATION Street has significantly changed to an iconic vintage scene that has stunned fans.
It goes down as one of the soap's greatest moments when evil killer Richard Hillman, played by Brian Capron, maniacally drove his car into a canal in a suicide bid - with the Platts inside.
But instead of killing his wife, Gail (Helen Worth), Richard himself met an untimely death 21 years ago, and the Platts were spared.
But did he? On the soap grapevine, rumours are circulating that fans will be in for a treat this Christmas, as his ghost is back to haunt Gail before she exits, too.
The news prompted eagle-eyed fans to revisit the iconic scenes available to stream in the digital age.
But many who watched the first time around were stunned to find that instead of the Wannadies song, the clip has the backing track of another noughties classic, You're Gorgeous, by Babybird.

This caused an outrage on X, with fans saying:
What the heck is this? ITVX version of Hillman’s final episode has changed the music that plays as they’re driving towards the canal! The You And Me song is one of the things that makes this moment so iconic!"
A second viewer chimed in with: "Yeah, that was really strange. They cut out Gail using the word ‘pervert’ and then a small section of the fight because of it. But over the last 3 weeks we’ve had Danny Baldwin’s ex-wife Carol calling him a ‘b****d’ on at least three occasions, and that’s aired unedited at 3pm."
Another added: "I’ve noticed a few things that have been edited or changed; they cut dialogue from the infamous scrap between Gail & Eileen, for instance, when it aired on Classic Corrie earlier this year."

She has been ill in hospital and her children have been planning on how to spend Damon's secret stash of cash.
When she finds out about their plotting she becomes upset and drifts in and out of sleep.
Until an unexpected visitor arrives.
