EastEnders favourite James Bye lands brand new TV project that’s worlds away from Albert Square
EASTENDERS star James Bye, best known for playing Martin Fowler, is going to be appearing on screen in a very different role this week.
James will be swapping Albert Square's iconic market stalls for real estate renovations as he joins Homes Under the Hammer for a celebrity special episode.
The episode is set to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this Friday, December 13, at 11.15am.
Homes Under the Hammer presenter Martel Maxwell shared her excitement about working with James in an Instagram post featuring the pair making silly faces in a house undergoing renovations.
She wrote: "Teaming up with James Bye for a celebrity special Homes Under The Hammer was a joy.
"He’s so good! Thank you James - not least for humouring my East End impressions."

It seems like James enjoyed a light-hearted appearance on the property show, which is a big departure from the current drama his character is involved in on the BBC soap.
Recently Martin has been grappling with life-altering events in Eastenders.
His world was turned upside down when he discovered he has a son, Roman, from his previous relationship with Ruby Allen.
The revelation came after Martin followed Ruby to the hospital when he became suspicious about some of her actions.

Roman is in urgent need of a liver transplant, and Martin was there to hear the devastating news that the initial donor wasn’t a match.
However, doctors later confirmed that Martin is a viable match.
Without hesitation, Martin agreed to undergo surgery, despite concerns from his other children.
In emotional scenes, Martin opened up about his fears surrounding the operation to his ex-wife Stacey Slater.
Overwhelmed by the intensity of the situation, he tried to kiss Stacey, leaving fans wondering whether this might rekindle their turbulent romance.
