RUTH Langsford has made a rare and brutal swipe at her estranged husband Eamonn Holmes on live TV.
The Loose Women anchor 64, quickly slipped in the savage dig at her ex during today's show before cutting to an advert break.
Until now, Ruth has remained fairly tight-lipped about her impending divorce with Eamonn, but it seems she just couldn't help herself when chatting about marriage splits.
The panel - made up of Ruth, Mariella Frostrup, Coleen Nolan and Kelly Holmes - were first discussing adult children and their partners.
Ruth had asked her fellow Loose Women whether parents have any right to make their grown up kids choose between their mums and dads and their other halves.
Coleen, who is mum-of-three, said: "I think it is important for parents to let their children find out for themselves and it might work out and they spend the rest of their lives together, but it might be that they end up heartbroken and that's when as a parent you step in."

The chat then moved to divorced parents, with Ruth saying: "I think it's very selfish when you hear parents say, well if they are divorced, then, 'I'm not coming to your wedding if he's coming' or 'if she's there...' and I just think it's so selfish isn't it. It's their day."
Mariella told Ruth: "Well that's a whole another subject, isn't it? How to divorce well."
Chipping in, Ruth exclaimed: "Oh! Tell me about it!"
Rolling her eyes and laughing wickedly, she then said: "Well, anyway... Funnily, it's time for a break!"
