WES Nelson has revealed the real reason for undergoing a "six month fitness journey" after recently showing off his new body.
The former Love Island reality star turned musician showed off his body transformation in before and after snaps last month.
The Barcelona hitmaker, 26, said he has cut back on alcohol and has quit nicotine in a bid to life a healthier lifestyle.
The singer said he has also changed his mindset and mentality when it comes to diet and exercise.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Wes said: "It's been about six months or longer than that - it's habits that I've been building over the past year or two.
"I reduced the amount of alcohol and drinking massively.

"It's a lot of diet, I have been eating well."
Wes, who has teamed up with Birds Eye for their sizzling new range, said altering his diet has had a huge impact on his life for the better.
He told us: "Birds Eye have sorted me out in the last few months, so after the gym, I smash some of the chicken and anything protein based with veg.
"If it was veg, protein, small amount of carbs and just doing a bit more.

"I've just been consistent with it, it's not been a crash diet where I've done changes and running marathons every day.
"I think the best results are when you form habits and are forcing yourself to do something.
"Over the past few months and years, I've been chipping away and introducing habits.
"On days when I don't eat well or don't exercise, it feels weird. It's now become part of who I am."
Wes said he's in better shape physically and mentally now.
"I always used to be into fitness and I've always loved it, but when you get knocked out of sync, it can happen to anybody and you're busy and making excuses...I've stopped nicotine," he shared.
"Every so often when I feel ready, there is no time limit to it, I don't stick to a weekly plan. I just go 'I'll knock that on the head. I won't do that any more', I keep it simple."
He also shared that he has quit his partying lifestyle and post-show parties include him tucking into his protein instead of doing shots.
Despite many fans begging Wes to share his fitness secret, Wes said: "I think people want a quick fix, if that was the case, they'd just be one answer.
"But you've seen how many diets there are, there's thousands. I'm a science lover at heart - you burn more calories than you eat and that's literally it. Do a bit more and eat a little cleaner.
"I think everyday should be your New Year, just start it now, there's nothing stopping you from starting right now. But if it is New Year, just do a little more and be a little cleaner - don't put pressures and time limit on it.
"It's never been about weight, it's always been about being more healthy, now I can go and do a 10k or 5k and be absolutely fine and energised.
"If you had told me to do that a year ago, I'd have laughed.
"It would have been completely impossible, I know my resting heart rate and blood pressure is good - these are all metrics I've been watching. I've not been lifting to get muscly.
"I've got a spring in my step, when people are talking to me, they're like ' you look really good'. It's not because I've been gyming, it's sometimes the way you feel and move, a bit more energy."
Star collabs
Elsewhere, Wes teased new collabs with huge pop stars and hinted that he'd team up with Craig David for second single together.
He said: "I don't usually get nervous, sometimes if we've changed something, I'll be overthinking it but usually prep. I'm terrible at organising stuff, but the performance itself I enjoy it and don't get nervous.
"I think this whole tour and working on the new song Yellow, has given me a breath of fresh air in terms of how I want to move forward with my career. I want to be a rock star, I started wearing flares on this tour.
"I feel the trajectory has no limit, it's not necessary that I want to be the most well-known artist in the world but I want to share it with as many people as possible.
"Eventually I want to do stadiums and arenas, because it's the best feeling in the world seeing people connect, but right now I'm happy being in and around music and making a living from it.
"There are some people I'm working with, I can't say who it is yet but you'll see shortly.
While Wes revealed some huge Korean artists have slid into his DMs, saying: "Yellow has been banging off in Korea and Asia, some quite cool people messaged me, hey're really big."
The star also hinted at more collabs with Seven Days singer Craig David, after having teamed up for Abracadaba and performing together on Love Island earlier this year.
He said: "It was super cool [performing on Love Island], it was strange but cool, overwhelmingly cool because I'm performing with one of my idols but strange being back in the villa after so many years.
"I feel like I'm not the person as I was then in terms of my personality, if I wasn't a taken man, I wouldn't have the confidence to go in. I'm glad that I did when I did. It was nervy for sure. I really enjoyed it.
"I'd never say never with Craig, we are close and talk quite regularly."
